Falkirk Football Community Foundation became a registered charity (SC 041791) in September 2010 and prior to this was part of the community department of Falkirk Football Club for over 10 years – set up to meet SFA objectives of professional clubs providing grassroots football to ensure anyone who wished to play football had the opportunity to do so.
Throughout the last years five years, using the power of football and sport to act as a catalyst for change, the work of the Foundation has increased to support people from the local community from young people to long-term unemployed, to single parent’s to elderly citizens as well as school children.
Today, we provide football coaching activities to nearly 2000 boys and girls and support up to 200 young people and adults throughout employability, health & wellbeing and lifeskills programmes each year.
The work of Falkirk was recognised in September 2014 when it was awarded the Best Professional Club in the Community at the Scottish FA Grassroots Awards.
