Our community programmes are aimed at helping people who face challenges in the community. Currently we run programmes for young carers, people with weight management issues and football for people with learning disabilities. We also provide young people with disability the opportunity to be involved in sport.
In addition we run education and employability programmes that help young people move to positive destinations. This includes delivering employability awards, SQA units, British Computer Society awards and providing work experience. We are strong advocates of Community Jobs Scotland and Modern Apprenticeships and regularly provide opportunities for young people to gain work experience, some of whom go onto secure full time employment with the Foundation or Football Club. We run football programmes that provide opportunities for approximately 700 young people from 2 years old to 20+ to play football every weekend and involves over 70 local adult volunteers giving their time and skills in their local community.
