Our Junior Academy programme is for children aged 4 – 12 and delivered in line with the Falkirk player pathway, which allows boys and girls to play football from age 2 through to adulthood in a structured development environment through a variety of programmes. We believe in encouraging learning through football and developing boys and girls through active play.
The Junior Academy seeks to improve individual skills and develop a creative player. Throughout the year, small-sided games festivals replace that week’s regular class, and are held on the main pitch at The Falkirk Stadium. This provides the opportunity to display skills learned in coaching sessions during a pressure-free match environment.
Our weekly sessions are outdoors on AstroTurf and are delivered by experienced and fully qualified Scottish Football Association Coaches. All coaches undertake Child Protection training and are qualified in First Aid. All coaches have been Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme checked. The course prepares your child for our Community Team programme which is the next step in the Falkirk Player Pathway, designed for children age 7+.
Junior Academy classes run throughout the year, in line with school term-time. All sessions follow a structured curriculum designed to develop individual player’s skills as the season progresses. Classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes long and are held at Woodlands Games Hall & Pitch and the University of Stirling.
The Junior Academy costs £18 a month.
