Following the launch of our 2022/23 home kit this week, we are pleased to confirm that this kit will be worn by all Falkirk Foundation teams alongside the men’s first team.
This will see the Falkirk home kit worn by nearly 50 community teams across the male and female pathways, in leagues across the central belt and beyond. This means that teams throughout Falkirk Football Club and the Falkirk Foundation will be wearing the same kit, from under-7’s, our Women and Men first teams, and onto our Seniors Squad.
This demonstrates a clear pathway for community teams to progress and will develop a closer link between the Foundation and the Club, leading to opportunities to identify talented players and closer links to our local community.
Jamie Swinney, Falkirk FC CEO, said:
“This represents another positive step for the Club and Foundation and another important development as part of the club rebuild. We want young people within our community to aspire to play for our men’s or women’s first team and this hopefully visually represents the pathway from our Foundation to the senior squads. I believe playing for Falkirk FC at any level should bring with it an immense source of pride so we hope with all teams playing in the same shirt will help foster that pride and togetherness. The club also wishes to place on record its thanks to new Foundation sponsors Your Equipment Solutions for backing our Foundation teams and playing pathway.”
Derek Allison, Falkirk Foundation CEO, added:
“Our relationship continues to grow with Falkirk FC and in the season ahead the Falkirk FC Foundation community teams will be wearing the first team’s home kit in their matches. It is important that the link between club and foundation is clear for all to see, and with nearly 50 teams and over 700 males and females of all ages playing in our teams across the central belt it certainly goes some way to achieving this. Playing in the same strip as the first team will give our teams a real sense of identity as we look forward to the coming season.”
