As we enter into 2023, we often look back on the year gone. For the Falkirk Football Community Foundation, it has certainly been a very busy year. The year started with Covid in our community (which is still very much with us) and is ending with us all having to deal with a cost-of-living crisis on top of the energy price increases.
The Foundation has positioned itself in the heart of our community and has been working hard to help as many as possible live happier, healthier, and more prosperous lives. The scale of this work, as well as the reach that we have, is highlighted in our end-of-year report in a document that pulls together all aspects of the work we do.
With the launch of our new strategy this year, we wanted to showcase the work that we have been delivering in each of our four main strategic themes. Rightly a big focus is on our football delivery but we are so much more than that, which is reflected in the statistical numbers in our end-of-year report. We are more than the numbers that are in this report but we feel that it is important to be able to evidence the reach we have and the good that we are delivering.
We have a great team at the Foundation supported by a fantastic Board of Directors who are all working to ensure that we are delivering on the main aims of our Strategy.
Last year we took the decision to not increase the fees for our football delivery even though the cost of delivering them has significantly increased over the past eight months. We want to ensure that our programmes and football are accessible to as many as possible and will be working hard to ensure the high standards that have been set are maintained. We would all like to thank everyone for their continuing support.
We want to thank our amazing volunteers who, rain or shine, are always there to deliver our programmes. A very special mention to every one of our partners who throughout the year have provided so much support, advice, and funding to the Foundation which has meant that we have delivered the fantastic results that are contained in this report.
We will continue to work hard in the coming year to deliver in the four main areas of our strategic report to not only provide Falkirk FC and Falkirk FC’s amazing supporters with a Foundation that they can be proud of but one that is working in our Community, for our Community.
