BOYS FOOTBALL

The Community Team programme is for boys that are at the stage of their football development, that they want more training and the competitive aspect of playing matches against other teams.

BOYS FOOTBALL TRAINING

Structured Training

Falkirk Foundation’s Community Team Programme is delivered in line with our Player Pathway, which allows boys and girls to play football from age 2 through to adulthood in a structured, safe development environment, through a variety of programmes.   We believe in developing people by encouraging learning through football and developing boys and girls through participation in our programmes.

MEMBERSHIP FAQS

Our twice weekly sessions are outdoors at either The Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk Foundation Community Pitch and Woodlands AstroTurf, or occasionally the training may be split between two venues. The 3 facilities have an artificial surface, so there is a strict footwear policy of moulded rubber football boots for all. The training sessions will typically run, Mon & Wed or Tues & Thurs, depending on the age group.
The training and matches will run for approximately 36-38 weeks of the year. The season runs in line with the school year terms. Pre-season usually begins end July, with activity stopping 2 weeks prior to Xmas, returning mid January. There is also usually an Easter break with the season finishing at the end of May.

Matches are organised through SYFA affiliated leagues/associations throughout the season. The 4s, 5s, and some 7s matches are played at localised venues, with some 7s, all 9s and 11s matches played with home and away fixtures.
