VOlunteering & Work Experience

Come get involved in our programmes and develop your own skills!

At the Falkirk Foundation we offer opportunities to volunteer across our wide range of programmes. We are so proud of the many volunteers that support the delivery of all our programmes, after all we do have 100 volunteers! The opportunities are primarily all based in our community coaching programmes, however there may also be practical or admin based opportunities also.

We ask that any individual interested in such an opportunity has a willingness to learn and develop themselves, and that they also have an openness to work with children. We appreciate that volunteers come to us without perhaps any experience or previous knowledge of this line of work, which is why we work closely with them to build their confidence within the role, and enhance their skillset to become knowledgeable and qualified to support the delivery of our programmes.

What do I get for being a volunteer at the Falkirk Foundation?

A volunteering plan that works around your availability

Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Membership

Scottish FA Coach Education Courses – up to Level 1.3

Emergency First Aid qualification.

Managing Children’s Well-being qualification.

Please contact info@falkirkfoundation.org or alternatively call us for further information.

We also offer a range of work experience opportunities. We work closely with local schools, colleges and universities to offer this invaluable experience for young people. It offers them the opportunity to come and work within our environment and get involved in the day to day tasks that exist in the running of the Foundation.

The working week would involve such tasks as follows

Organising of coaching equipment

Facility upkeep and maintenance

Cleaning tasks in and around the stadium

Administration support

Moving and handling of stock

Support of delivering on all coaching programmes
