The Community Team programme is for boys that are at the stage of their football development, that they want more training and the competitive aspect of playing matches against other teams.
Structured training
Falkirk Foundation’s Community Team Programme is delivered in line with our Player Pathway, which allows boys and girls to play football from age 2 through to adulthood in a structured, safe development environment, through a variety of programmes. We believe in developing people by encouraging learning through football and developing boys and girls through participation in our programmes.
Matches against other community teams
Our Boys Community Team Programme offers players aged 6+ the opportunity to play against other community teams from all over the central region in non-competitive matches at 4’s, 5’s, 7s & 9-a-side before stepping up to play competitive 11-a-side matches in local SYFA affiliated leagues.
Fully qualified SFA coaches
The coaching sessions are delivered by our coach volunteers that are fully qualified on the Scottish FA Coach Education Pathway. All coaches have also been PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Group) Scheme checked and all coaches must also hold a valid First Aid qualification. The coaches are supported and mentored by the football development officer throughout the season, and all coaches must also attend 4 x in-service or Continuous Professional Development events per year.
